T he kick-off meeting for the Fast Track to Innovation (FTI) project was celebrated on November 13th 2019 in Barcelona at the Bettair Cities facilities. All the partners of the consortium joined the event, namely: Bettair Cities, Omniflow, Cisco Italia, TIM (Telecom Italia Mobile), ISGlobal (Instituto de Salud Global de Barcelona).
The motto of the project is “Mapping air quality with high accuracy and high spatial resolution”: for the first time with a low investment, an IoT platform will be exploited to assist cities to improve the quality of their air and to reduce individual exposure, one of the most threatening problems faced by cities in Europe and across the globe.
It was a great chance to unite the partners of the consortium with a shared understanding of what we are doing and why. It was a time to make decisions about how to work together (how to communicate, how often to meet), map out a rough timeline and call out risks.
Each partner had the opportunity to share its role on the project and what it will be responsible for delivering. We made sure to have a common, clear and measurable goal to aim for, so we can naturally gravitate toward decisions and actions that will help us to reach it.
